Mr Monk and the Vampire:Chapter 2

Chapter 2

“C’mon Mr. Monk, stop acting like a child.” Natalie said in annoyance to her Obsessive Compulsive boss. He was keeping touching the antenna.
“I’m not acting like a child, Natalie. I’m acting like my normal self.” Monk said, touched the antenna again before Natalie pushed him into her Ford Escape.
“Where is Josh? “ Monk looked around, “Hi, Julie” he noticed Natalie’s dear baby was seating behind, beamed with smile.
“Hi, Mr Monk,” answered Julie, smiled wicked, “You sure you are going to the ruin?”
“I .......”he looked utterly pale, “well...... Julie, ruins include at least five of my phobias! Snakes, dirt, spiders, flies, and smells!” Monk said, naming the phobias off on his fingers. It seemed that he may fall in a faint at any moment.
“Well, you can stay here, Mr. Monk. “ Natalie said, frowning at the bung-full trunk。 It’s all his: wipes, drinking water, boxful underwear, another boxful insecticide! “Then I can throw all these away.” She shut the door heavily.
“Where’s Josh? He’s coming or not?” Monk asked again, considering whether he should take this risk or not if Josh won’t come.
“We’ll meet him there.” Natalie answered shortly and grouchily. “He called me last night and said our Ford may be too crowd for four people and tons of baggages!” She twisted her mouth into a wry smile.
“I don’t like him.” Julie chopped in suddenly. “I just don’t any doctors! He looks dour, prissy and ...”
“And germ-infested,” grumbled Monk. Julie burst into laugh.
“Don’t be silly. He is a good guy.”Natalie retorted discontentedly, "Adrian, germs aren't visible, how could you possibly see them?"
“How could you not?!” Monk insisted,” Just crawling around waiting to give you disease, so they can laugh when you die!”
“Adrian! Germs never laugh!” yelled Natalie, beyond endurance.
"Adrian, germs don't laugh."
"That's not the point!" Julie said, refraining from laughing. “Mum, talk something about the ruin! You know the place, don’t you?”
“Well, Josh has been there for a few of times I think. He said there was a saga in that small village… a saga about vampire.”
“Tell me about the saga!” Julie said feverishly and approached to her mother.
(to be continued. I m going to tell the saga next time )
